A lot of times for me it’s the book comp… it has led me astray occasionally but I can’t resist if a book is marketed as similar to “xyz book I love”!
For me it’s pirates, searching for treasure, a heist, or cozy fantasy.
Certain authors are auto-add, like Diana Gabaldon and Talia Hibbert, and pretty much any romance.
Definitely with you on the climate fiction! I also love dark, toxic romance; funny travel memoir; anything about Asian culture; and all forms of horror, especially haunted house stuff. :)
