I never thought of using trello for this, I have a folder of screenshot on my phone for my TBR list and use a book tracker app for books that I have read
Ohh, I love seeing how other readers organize their reading life! This was so fun, and so beautiful! I started using an analog reading journal this summer and it's a similar process to what you describe, but I love how visual your method is.
I saw that you got an analog journal! I bet that's cathartic though to write it all down. I've tried writing my reviews and things in the past but it never stuck.
I promise it's not as hard as it seems 🤣 But I hear ya, sometimes the thing we use most is easiest. I use Storygraph instead of GoodReads but I can see the benefits to just using that instead.
I think that the only thing that took some work was getting it initially set up how I wanted - so I made a template card that I can use each time I enter a new book, and I just duplicate boards each year to start a new one. The actual process is just a few minutes per book!
This actually looks so much fun, what a great visual way to organize! I’m tempted to copy your system but I frankly use wayyyy too many trackers already. Thank you for sharing!
I've tried so many other trackers - like spreadsheets and such. But I think because I'm such a visual person, this has by far been my favorite way to see everything. Thank you so much!!
This looks so nice! Curious how much time this takes.
I keep my tracking pretty basic using Goodreads and StoryGraph, then I also started using an excel tracker last year. I tend to use the library more so I don’t need to track books I own, would love to organize my kindle though…
Now that it’s set up it doesn’t take long at all! Other than writing my reviews of course. But the actual entering and moving around Trello is just a couple minutes.

Trello is so nice because 1, it looks pretty :) and 2, it's all in one place. But it sounds like you have a great system for yours too!
This is so cool! I’ve never thought to use Trello for my books, but that is such a clever way to organize it. 😊
Thank you!! I did this a few years ago and can't imagine ever doing anything different at this point!
I use Notion to keep track of my reading, but this system looks so cool! I never thought of using Trello like this!
Ooh I bet there are great ways to use Notion for this too!
I love Trello and I know this system is a lot of work but its so beautiful!!!
After the initial setup, it's only a few minutes of time per book! And thank you!!

It’s definitely more of a time commitment to find time to pull it out, but it’s been working for me!
This is so neat to see! I don't know that I have the patience for it but I wish I did. I am lame and just use GoodReads 😂

This does look like a ton of work but it's very pretty and I wish I was that organized! Maybe I'll try it!

I am impressed by how organized you are! I use the Libby app to manage my TBR and to keep track of the books I sample and DNF. I wrote down some tips to help other readers use the Libby app to do the same: https://bookishlydelightful.substack.com/p/how-to-use-libby-app-to-manage-tbr-list
I love the Libby app! And thanks for the link.
